Contacts Overview
Manage your customers, leads, vendors, and business contacts in one central location. The Contacts module is the foundation of your customer relationship management in Readybuild.
What are Contacts?
Contacts in Readybuild represent the people and companies you do business with. The system supports three main contact types:
Contact Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Lead | Potential customers who have expressed interest but haven't purchased yet |
| Client | Active customers with sold projects |
| Vendor | Suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers |
Individual vs Company Contacts
Contacts can be structured as:
- Individual - A single person (homeowner, decision maker)
- Company - A business entity with associated contacts
- Household - Primary and secondary contacts (e.g., spouses) sharing an address

The Contacts page is organized into tabs for easy navigation:
- Clients - All leads and customers
- Vendors - Suppliers and subcontractors
- External Leads - Incoming leads from web forms and integrations

- Centralized database for all business relationships

Quick Actions
From the Contacts page, you can:
- Click + Add Contact to create a new contact
- Use the search bar to find existing contacts by name, email, phone, or address
- Switch between Clients and Vendors tabs
- Access External Leads to process incoming leads
- Use Import to bulk-add contacts from CSV files
- Filter by contact type, source, campaign, or custom criteria
- Export contacts for mailing lists or reports
