The Gantt chart supports comprehensive keyboard navigation for efficient task management without using the mouse.
General Shortcuts
These shortcuts work anywhere in the Gantt chart:

Scrolling
Navigate the timeline and task list:

Task Navigation
Move between tasks in the list:

Cell Navigation Mode
When cell navigation is enabled, you can also move between columns:

Task Actions
Perform actions on the selected task:

Expand and Collapse
Control the visibility of subtasks:

| Ctrl + Left | Collapse task (hide children) |
| Shift + Down | Expand task |
| Shift + Up | Collapse task |
Task Hierarchy
Change the indentation level of tasks:

| Shift + Right | Indent task (make it a child of the previous task) |
| Shift + Left | Outdent task (move it up one level in hierarchy) |
How Indent Works
When you press Shift + Right:
- The task becomes a child of the task directly above it
- The parent task automatically expands
- The task is moved to the end of the parent's children
How Outdent Works
When you press Shift + Left:
- The task moves to the same level as its current parent
- It's positioned directly after its former parent
- Any siblings below it remain under the original parent
Header Navigation
When focused on the column headers:

Efficient Workflows
Quick task editing:
- Navigate to task with Up/Down
- Press Enter to open edit form
- Make changes
- Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel
Reorganizing tasks:
- Navigate to the task you want to move
- Use Shift + Left/Right to change hierarchy
- The task repositions automatically
Expanding all children:
- Navigate to a parent task
- Press Ctrl + Right to expand
- Repeat for nested children
Selection Workflow
Select multiple tasks:
- Navigate to first task
- Press Space to select
- Navigate to next task
- Press Space to add to selection
