Daily Log Report

Review daily production logs submitted by field crews, including work performed, client communication, and internal notes.

Accessing the Report

Reports > Production > Daily Log Report

View Modes

Toggle between two views using the tabs:

Full View

Shows all daily log content:

  • Client communication responses
  • PM/internal communication
  • Work performed notes
  • Employee hours

PM View

Shows internal information only:

  • PM communication responses
  • Work performed notes
  • Excludes client-facing content

Use PM View for internal reviews without client-sensitive information.

Main Table

Each row shows:

Expandable Details

Click any row to expand and see:

Job Information:

  • Project number and title (linked)
  • Client name
  • Project Manager assigned

Employees on Job:

  • Names of workers present
  • Hours worked (if logged)

Client Communication:

  • Responses to client-facing questions
  • Only shown in Full View

PM Communication:

  • Responses to internal questions
  • Notes for project manager

Work Performed Note:

  • Narrative description of work completed

Available Filters

Access filters by clicking Filters button:

Default Date Range

Defaults to January 1 of current year through today.

Clear Filters

Click Clear All Filters to reset.

Pagination

  • 50 logs displayed per page
  • Pagination controls at top and bottom
  • Shows current range and total count
  • First/Last page buttons available

Understanding Daily Logs

Who Submits Daily Logs

  • Lead carpenters
  • Project managers
  • Field supervisors
  • Any crew member with access

When Logs Are Submitted

  • End of each work day
  • Can be submitted from mobile or desktop
  • Should be submitted same day for accuracy

Log Content

Daily logs capture:

  • What work was performed
  • Who was on site
  • Client interactions
  • Issues or concerns
  • Photos (viewable in project)

Common Use Cases

  1. Morning review: Check yesterday's logs for issues
  2. Client questions: Look up what happened on specific dates
  3. PM oversight: Monitor crew activity across projects
  4. Dispute resolution: Document what occurred and when
  5. Billing verification: Confirm work supports invoicing

Tips

  • Review daily to catch issues early
  • Use PM View for quick internal scans
  • Use Full View when preparing client communications
  • Cross-reference with time entries for accuracy
  • Filter by PM to review their projects specifically

Export Note

Daily Log Report doesn't have CSV export due to expandable content complexity. For data export:

  • Use project-level daily log exports
  • Access raw data through project detail pages
