Calendar
The Calendar provides a unified view of all activities, project schedules, and external calendar events. Use it to see your day at a glance, schedule activities, and coordinate with team members.
Accessing the Calendar
Navigate to Calendar from the main navigation menu.
Calendar Views
Switch between different time views using the view selector:
| View | Description |
|---|---|
| Day | Detailed hourly view of a single day |
| Week | Seven-day view showing all events |
| Month | Full month overview |
Use the navigation arrows to move between time periods, or click Today to return to the current date.
Event Types
The calendar displays three types of events, each with a checkbox filter:
Activities
Internal activities such as appointments, phone calls, tasks, and emails. These are created directly in Readybuild.
- Filter by Activity Types (e.g., Appointment, Phone Call, Task)
- Filter by Activity Categories (e.g., Sales, Service, General)
Schedule
Project schedule items from the production and design schedules.
- Filter by Schedule Types: Production or Design
- Filter by Subcontractors to see only items assigned to specific vendors
External Calendar
Events synced from connected Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 calendars. These appear as read-only events.
Filtering Events
Use the filter controls at the top of the calendar to narrow down what you see:
Event Types
Check or uncheck Activities, Schedule, or External Calendar to show or hide those event types.
Users
Select specific team members to view only their events. Leave empty to see all users.
Project
Search for and select a specific project to see only events related to that project.
Activity-Specific Filters
When Activities is checked:
- Activity Types - Filter by appointment, phone call, task, etc.
- Activity Categories - Filter by sales, service, general, etc.
Schedule-Specific Filters
When Schedule is checked:
- Schedule Types - Show Production, Design, or both
- Subcontractors - Filter by specific vendor/subcontractor
Creating Activities
From the Calendar
- Click the New Activity button in the top right
- Fill in the activity details:
- Category (Appointment, Phone Call, Task, etc.)
- Title
- Date and Time
- Assigned Users
- Related Contact or Project
- Click Save
Quick Create by Clicking
- Click directly on a time slot in Day or Week view
- The activity form opens with the selected time pre-filled
- Complete the form and save
Viewing Event Details
Activities
Click on any activity to open the Activity Info Panel, which shows:
- Activity details and notes
- Related contact and project information
- Activity history and updates
- Quick actions (edit, delete, reschedule)
Schedule Items
Click on a schedule item to view:
- Project name and contact
- Scheduled date range
- Assigned subcontractors
- Schedule notes
External Calendar Events
External events display as read-only. Click to view the event title, time, and source calendar.
Calendar Navigation

| Jump to date | Click on the date header |
Company Holidays
Company holidays configured in Admin > Calendar > Holidays appear as highlighted days on the calendar. These affect availability calculations.
External Calendar Integration
To see events from external calendars:
- Connect your calendar in Admin > Integrations
- Set up Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 Calendar
- Enable the External Calendar checkbox in the calendar filters
Tips
- Color coding - Events are color-coded by type for quick identification
- Overlapping events - In Week and Day views, overlapping events stack side by side
- Drag and drop - Some event types support drag-and-drop rescheduling
- Quick filters - Uncheck event types you don't need to reduce visual clutter
