Project Details

The project detail page is your central hub for managing all aspects of a project. This page provides comprehensive access to project information, financials, scheduling, documents, and more.

Page Layout

The project page is divided into several key areas:

The header stays visible as you scroll and displays:

Project Identity

  • Customer Name - Contact name or company name
  • Project ID and Title - Click the pencil icon to rename
  • Status Chips - Active/Inactive, Financed, Contact Tags
  • QuickBooks Status - Sync status if QB integration is enabled

Contact and Location

  • Customer contact information
  • Project address with map link
  • Team member assignments (click to manage)

Alert Banners

Important alerts appear below the header:

Alert TypeDescription
Deleted ContactWarning if the associated contact was deleted
Active PromotionsShows applicable promotions with validity dates
Outside FirmRed alert if client is owned by an outside firm
Client ConcernsBanner showing unresolved concerns

The main navigation bar provides access to all project sections.

Quick Actions Sidebar

On desktop, a sidebar on the right provides fast access to common actions (see Quick Actions section below).

Property Map

Below Quick Actions, a map card shows the project location with weather information.

The project page has multiple tabs for accessing different aspects of the project. Each tab has detailed documentation:

Quick Actions

The Quick Actions sidebar provides one-click access to common tasks:

Daily Log

The Daily Log captures:

  • Date and weather conditions
  • Team members on site
  • Work performed
  • Photos from the day
  • Notes and observations

Add Activity

Opens a dialog to schedule:

  • Appointments with the customer
  • Internal team tasks
  • Site visits
  • Follow-up reminders

Create Change Order

Available only for sold projects:

  1. Click Create Change Order
  2. Enter change order details
  3. Add line items
  4. Submit for approval

Generate Template

Print or download pre-configured document templates:

  • Organized by category
  • Click the print icon for print preview
  • Click the download icon to save

Project Header Details

Editing Project Name

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the project title
  2. Enter the new project name
  3. Click Save

Team Management

Click on the team member avatars to:

  • View current team assignments
  • Add or remove team members
  • Change role assignments

Built-in Team Roles

Standard roles include:

  • Salesperson
  • Project Manager
  • Designer
  • Draftsperson
  • Design Assistant
  • Design Coordinator
  • Lead Remodeler
  • Lead Painter
  • Master Electrician
  • Master Plumber
  • Estimator
  • Intake Person

Custom Team Roles

Your administrator can create custom team roles to match your company's workflow. Custom roles can be:

  • Named to match your specific job titles
  • Assigned to any team member

Subcontractor Assignments

In addition to internal team members, you can assign vendor contacts (subcontractors) to team roles. This is useful for:

  • Tracking which subcontractor is responsible for specific trades
  • Including subcontractors in project communications
  • Maintaining a complete record of everyone working on the project

To assign a subcontractor:

  1. Click on the team member section
  2. Select a role that allows vendor assignment
  3. Search for the vendor contact
  4. Select the subcontractor to assign them to the project

Contact Information

The header displays:

  • Customer name (links to contact record)
  • Phone number (click to call)
  • Email address (click to send email)
  • Project address (click for directions)

Status Indicators

Active/Inactive Chip

  • Green "Active" - Project is currently active
  • Gray "Inactive" - Project has been marked inactive

Financed Chip

A blue "Financed" chip with a bank icon appears if:

  • The project has a financing plan attached
  • Hover to see the financing plan name

Contact Tags

Custom tags assigned to the contact display as colored chips, helping quickly identify:

  • Customer categories
  • VIP status
  • Special requirements

Weather Integration

If the project has a valid ZIP code, weather information displays:

  • Current conditions
  • Forecast for the project location
  • Useful for scheduling outdoor work

Use the breadcrumb trail at the top to:

  • Return to the Projects list
  • Navigate to parent project (for change orders)

History Menu

The History dropdown in the toolbar shows recently viewed projects for quick switching.

Change Orders as Projects

Change orders appear as separate project records:

  • Linked to the parent project
  • Breadcrumbs show the parent project
  • Some tabs may be disabled (e.g., Permits, Files)
  • Financial data rolls up to the parent project

Tips for Using the Project Page

  1. Use Quick Actions - The sidebar provides the fastest access to common tasks
  2. Check Alerts - Always review any alert banners at the top of the page
  3. Navigate with Tabs - Use the tab bar instead of browser back/forward
  4. Manage Team Early - Assign team members when the project is created
  5. Log Daily - Use the Daily Log feature regularly for accurate project history
  6. Track Everything - Use Notes and Activities to maintain a complete record
