Year Budget

Set monthly sales targets for each team member by division to track performance against goals.

Year Budget allows you to define annual sales targets broken down by month, division (opportunity type), and team member. These budgets power sales dashboards and reports, enabling you to compare actual performance against projected goals.

Budget Table Structure

The budget table displays divisions (opportunity types) as columns with the following rows:

Division Settings (Per Division)

FieldDescription
Closing PercentExpected percentage of leads that will close for this division (0-100%)
Avg Job SizeExpected average revenue per job for this division

Monthly Entries (Jan - Dec)

For each month, enter the projected number of jobs to win. Decimal values are supported (e.g., 2.5 jobs).

Calculated Values

The table automatically calculates:

  • Monthly Dollar Amount: Jobs Won × Avg Job Size (per division)
  • Monthly Totals: Sum across all divisions for each month
  • Division Totals: Sum across all months for each division
  • Grand Total: Combined jobs and dollars for the entire year

Example Workflow

  1. Select the year you want to budget (e.g., 2025)
  2. Choose the project position (Sales Person or Designer)
  3. Select a user to enter their individual targets
  4. Set division parameters:
    • Enter the expected closing percentage
    • Enter the average job size in dollars
  5. Enter monthly job targets for each division
  6. Click Save to store the budget

The dollar amounts calculate automatically as you enter job counts.

Tips

  • Start with annual goals: Divide your annual target by 12 for a baseline, then adjust for seasonal variations
  • Use closing percent: If you know your historical close rate, enter it to help calculate required lead volume
  • Review aggregated data: Before editing, view the aggregated mode to see company-wide commitments
  • Decimal values: Use decimals for more precise planning (e.g., 1.5 jobs per month)
